The Chief Range Officer is responsible for range safety and the day’s operations on the range, including setting the layout for matches and coordinating the schedule with other officials. This role ensures the range is prepared, rules are enforced, and matches run in a safe, orderly sequence.

The team coach focuses on athletes’ training and strategy, not the range setup or scheduling. The official scorer handles recording points and results, not when matches occur. The event announcer handles communicating starts and results to competitors, not organizing the schedule.
